The UK's Premier Resource For Older Mothers and Fathers
There are many great things to see and do in London, which is partly why the city is the most popular tourist destination in the world. Other reasons include sharing a language with faraway countries like Australia, Canada and the USA while sharing a tectonic plate with Europe, making it cheap to get to. Of course, London is anything but cheap once you arrive, but that is another story and should come as a surprise to no one.

Some of the most popular tourist attractions in London are the shops of Oxford Street and the bars of the West End. While these are both fantastic in their own way, adventurous travellers would benefit from leaving central London and exploring the great shops and cafes of Hampstead, or the vibrant nightlife of neighbouring Camden Town. A trip to Camden Market is a must for anyone looking for the next trend, not to mention the latest mind-expanding craze. The whole area is in easy reach of the central London hotels - just hop on a bus, or take the Northern Line tube for a couple of stops.

Traditional hotels such as the Gallery Hotel and Henley House Hotel are always popular with visitors from around the world. They are seen as being in a typical English style, with lots of flower patterns and pale pinks dominating the rooms. Hotels such as the Gallery and Henley House feel almost like a home from home and are renowned for putting comfort first and offering a warm welcome. More modern styling can be found onboard the Sunborn Yacht Hotel which is, as the name suggests, a hotel based on a luxury yacht (moored in Docklands - perfect for business visitors).

Anyone considering an internship in London should consult the company they will be working with before booking any accommodation. Firstly, staying in a hotel is a very expensive way to reside in London unless, of course, the company is paying. Secondly, the company will generally have a good idea of where is convenient to commute from, as cheaper accommodation can be found outside of Central London. Only once you have been a commuter can you really say you've tasted London life!

Finding Excellent Value Accommodation in London
Finding somewhere to stay in London needn't be hard work. While the city can be daunting to the uninitiated, it is much easier to find cheap hotels in London if you know where to look. Your first port of call should be the internet. There are a number of websites that can show you which areas of London are best for tourists, for business visitors and so on. As a rule of thumb, most business visitors will want to be nearer to the financial district, which is slightly east of central London and is known as the City of London (as this is where London sprang from). There are also websites with listings for cheap London Hotels. It is always worth shopping around, because some sites can charge more than others.
